Assisting families, community leaders and organizations in building the legacies they desire, and deserve.

ethos.

I’m a native Clevelander, with deep roots on the city’s southeast side. My family purchased a home in the Lee/Miles neighborhood in 1969, where my family still lives today.

Too often, outcomes for people in neighborhoods similar to my family’s are shaped by systemic factors beyond their individual control. Their fates are sealed. Legacies, pre-determined.

I love Cleveland, but more importantly, I care about its residents. I formed The Legacy Perspective to assist families, community leaders and organizations in building the legacies they desire, and deserve.

the work.

We offer project management, community engagement and communications services to our client partners.

We intentionally partner with local, frontline community organizations to regional and national foundations, to develop strategies that champion the voices of those most affected by institutional decision-makers.

  • To deliver effective and impactful programming, our client partners depend on us to develop and execute strategic project plans and oversee initiatives from inception to successful completion.

We manage budgets, vendors, partners and timelines, and provide solutions to roadblocks as they arise.

  • You only get one chance to introduce yourself. With our support, we help our partners make the best impression.

We write and edit copy for marketing collateral, and websites. We compose compelling stories for annual reports, digital newsletters and blogs. And we build high-quality strategies that garner attention, evoke action and inspire target audiences.

  • We strongly believe that freedom lies in the collective voice and power of the people. Engagement takes varying forms and definitions from one space to the next, but at The Legacy Perspective, we keep it simple.

Our client partners have benefited from our high quality and relevant facilitation of town hall meetings, small focus groups, and virtual roundtable discussions, which have yielded invaluable perspectives that strengthened their planning and implementation.

Our community engagement and outreach efforts center on honoring the lived experience of the target audience, by respectfully receiving their feedback, stories and insight in relation to any program or initiative.

In all ways, we work at the speed of trust.

We are attentive to the flow and comfort of all involved in our work, and remain committed to creating safe spaces for those who seek them.

lived experience.

We center the rich history and culture of Cleveland’s neighborhoods, while also acknowledging the impact redlining and systematic disinvestment has on one's short and long-term ability to survive, create, heal and thrive, because, we carry the same weight ourselves.
